Math:
We will continue to work with percents, patterns, and sequences. The next unit will be geometry which will focus on application of formulas to determine area and perimeter of 2 dimensional figures. We will concentrate on word problems and extracting necessary information. We will the move into 3 dimensional figures
English:
The learner will be working on Writing Prompt #1: A time when you made a major or minor mistake.
History:
This week students will:
- complete their common assessment and government test.
- begin the Civil War unit by focusing on the four major causes.
Science:
The learner will:
- conclude Natural Resources and Human Impact unit.
- Have a quiz on resources: 02/03 (P) or 02/04 (G).
- have a lab on resources.
- recognize the impact of human choices on resources.
- begin/complete unit on Catastrophic Events.
- CBA: scheduled for Feb 12 and 13th. This CBA will cover everything you have learned for the year, and include Natural Resources & Catastrophic Events.
